I have had it for 3 weeks and have done about 5 meals on it with amazing success. I love all the videos on You. Tube for different ideas and tutorials. I did a ton of research before I bought this unit and I really think that I made the right choice. Called customer service for questions before I bought and they called me right back. So far, so good in my book. The freezer is packed with meat and ready for grilling My only recommendation is, when you add the front shelf, the screws need to be about another 18 longer. Ive smoked with stick, puck, electric, and Komodo smokers and the Rec Tec beats them all for smoke penetration, bark, tenderness and moisture. This is the first smoker Ive had that doesnt need the half way through foil wrap. Awesome smoking, if not done steaks yet, cant stop smoking, I have make breakfast biscuits a couple times, they come out very evenly cooked. I did have a couple bumps with the delivery of the Grill but a very simple non confrontational very helpful phone call corrected both issues in a matter of just a few days. So far this grill is worth every penny, I expect that it will be for years to come when I compare to the construction of other pellet grills. Very impressed with the packing, overall quality and craftman ship of the rectec grill. I have only cooked a few proteins at this time and everyone has far exceeded my expectations. Meat is extremely moist, tender and full of flavor. I would have given the grill 5 stars but the SS bolts were cut to short and were not usable and there is a 14 gap on the lid when closed. I am going to adjust the lid tonight and see if I can minimize the gap. Other than that top notch system, grates, fire pot and I love the searing plates.
